Wants: Shoes

Beatrix ONG 'Avery' Shoe
£210.00

Love: The lace detail on the light pink. Could I say they're boy shoes made pretty?

Gianvito Rossi Ankle Boots
£550.00

Love: The 'shoelace-like' detail in the front. Every time I look at these I picture myself wearing them with black jeggings and they look oh so lovely. Sigh.

Gastone Lucioli '1029' Black Suede Pumps
Approx. £170.00 - £200.00

Love: I'm not a fan of chunky heels, and these are slightly on the chunky side, very, very slightly. That being said, I think they complement the platform and the sexy string detail in the front. I think they would look nicer paired up with pants rather than a dress or a skirt.

Kurt Geiger 'Dancer' Shoe
 £49.00

Love: The fact that these shoes are elegant, pretty and cute all at the same time. The bow makes these so much fun!

Carvela Audit Salmon High Heel Shoe
£120
Love: The colour! Talk about gorgeous? That's what caught my eye over everything else about this shoe.

Ted Baker Svana Peep Toe Metallic Croc Effect Heeled Shoe
£98

Love: I love me some hot pink peep toes. I want to own peep toes like these in every color possible.

Christian Louboutin OTK Suede Boots

Love: These would look great with pants, dresses, skirts and shorts. They are also very unique aren't they? I try to think of other boots that look like these or similar to these and I can't think of any!

ALDO RYA Bone Shoe
£27.99

Love: These are classic and a staple in every girl's wardrobe. Nude heels add glamour to any look.

ALDO Choen Black Satin Shoe
£19.98

Love: I have a hard time when it comes to flats. It's so hard to find something different, which is why I love these. They're like 'flat boots', if you get my jist haha. So cute!

ASOS POP Slingback Mesh Court Shoe
£25.00

Love: I ADORE these! They're so feminine yet have this edge to them that I love.  I think it's the white platform that adds that edge. They're sexy as hell, 'nuff said.

How I wish I could call all of these mine!

Now that we're talking shoes, I have a question: WHY oh WHY would you do THIS?!

Weren't sneakers meant to look like this?

I'm not sure how popular they are, but don't they just look wrong? Sneakers were designed to be comfortable shoes that looked like SNEAKERS, and correct me if I'm wrong but they don't have heels. They look tacky, and the heel looks so out of place. Every time I look at them I get the feeling that the heel does not actually physically belong to the shoe, and then I get the strong urge to pull it off. Why put heels on them when we have a myriad of gorgeous heels available to us already? I am going to leave you with this thought.

Animal Crackers

So I was just on Facebook, and saw that my friend had posted a link on my wall. I'm not a huge 'animal person', but sometimes they can be quite entertaining. Basically, I was chased by two dogs (I'm not sure what breed they were) around a tree for what seemed like forever. We went round and round and round until I was about to pass out of fear, which is when my dad ran towards me and picked me up. What happened was, I was just standing there while my parents were chatting to some of their friends, and the pair of dogs were sitting on a bench opposite me with their owner. I was scared of dogs at this point (I'm starting to think I was born with an innate fear), which is why I constantly stared at them. I know, bad move right? I think this threatened the dogs, which is why they decided to pounce on me. This happened when I was about 6 or 7 I think. This has nothing to do with the video, but I just thought I'd share the incident with you that has forever traumatized me. I'm not just scared of dogs, I'm scared of all types of animals. I never touch animals out of fear and it has made some things quite hard to do for me. For instance, if I was to go to a zoo, I could never hold a snake on my shoulders or a bird on my wrist. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video as much as I did!

The laughing birds at 0:28 get me every single time.

So what's the dealio?

For those of you who are wondering why I've posted this video on a fashion and beauty blog, here is the deal:  Don't you hate it when you find something really interesting or really funny on the Internet, but there is no one around to share it with? I find that that happens to me a lot, so I've decided to expand my blog a little, topic wise. I will continue blogging about fashion and beauty, but will also blog about interesting things I find on the web once in a while.

Elle Style Awards 2011 - The Best and the Worst

Best

Emma Watson in Hakaan
Emma Watson bagged the Award for the Style Icon for a reason. She's been coming out with some pretty amazing outfits recently, and this one is no exception. The color, the detail, the style, it's sophisticated yet fun. I have to say though, I am not a huge fan of her hairdo. Don't get me wrong, she looks good in it, but I don't think it does her face justice! Long locks would look gorgeous on her. Anyway, her body is definitely made for that dress!

Blake Lively in Pucci
Blake, blake, blake. I ADORE her fashion sense. She just never seems to let you down when it comes to fashion. Not just that, she looks good in everything too! (Who wouldn't with those gorgeous pins!) The thing that I like most about this gown is definitely the style. I think I can say without doubt that I haven't seen anything else that looks like this. Not only is the style unique, the color is quite rare when it comes to gowns and formal dresses. I don't remember the last time I saw a gown in this color? It complements her skin very well, she looks very radiant. Oh and love the shoes too! Great contrast I'll say. Looove.

Courtney Love in Givenchy
I never thought I'd be saying this, but Courtney Love looks great in that gown! With the recent string of questionable photos that she's put up on Twitter, I'd  say she cleans up pretty well. Firstly, the gown is utterly divine, almost angelic. Her hair looks great too. Wouldn't have done it differently myself. Let's hope she keeps this up?

Thandie Newton in Louis Vuitton
I feel like Thandie Newton is a breath of fresh air amongst the crowd of intricate gowns and clean cut looks. She looks gorgeous in the floral LV, and personally I don't think she should wear any other color after this. I'm not one for florals but this gown is such a great blend of sexy and pretty. Not so sure about the footwear though, Thandie.

Not bad, but could do better...

Cheryl Cole in Alexander McQueen
I wasn't sure what to make of Cheryl Cole's red gown. I think after all the outfits she's been coming out with, this one was too safe a choice. I mean, look at her at the BRIT awards 2011! Stunning or what?!

Cheryl Cole in Stella McCartney at BRIT Awards 2011
It's not a horrible, unsightly gown. It's just that she can do so much better.

Worst

Alexa Chung in Yves Saint Laurent
Why is Alexa Chung always in grandma outfits! Wouldn't you expect more from a contributing editor at British Vogue? Disappointment.

Laura Bailey
Is it just me, or do tights look really out of place with a dress of that length? Anyway, people were probably too busy looking at her disastrous dress to be able to acknowledge the tights. Sorry, Bailey.

Minnie Driver
I think the image speaks for itself. It looks ill-fitted and does not flatter her at all. Kudos on the shoes though!

REVIEW: Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray - Lee Stafford

Beach Babe Sea Salt Spray - Lee Stafford

I.Love.This.Spray. The very first thing that caught my eye about this product is the packaging. It's cute, girly and just a little different than any other hair spray I've seen on shelves. It was also on offer at Boots, any 2 Lee Stafford products for £8, but it was mostly the packaging that got me. It aims to give you those beachy curls that you get right after you've had a dip in the sea. That type of beach hair looks so effortless and sexy, so I thought I'd give this a try. Keep in mind that I have naturally curly hair, not the tight curls and not wavy hair; just loose curls. All I did was sprayed a few spritzes of the product into the lower half of my hair and scrunched it over and over again, just to spread the product a bit. If you have naturally straight or slightly wavy hair, you might have to spray a little more product into your hair and scrunch it up a little more too. It leaves my hair smelling gorgeous, so no complaints there! The spray so far has proved to be pretty long lasting; I only have to touch up every 4-5 hours.

Negatives: The only negative I've found is the stickiness. After you scrunch your hair up with your bare hands, they get a little sticky. This does fade away within a few seconds, so it's not really a huge deal, but just thought I'd let you know!

Overall, I think this sea salt spray is perfect for a lazy day where you want defined curls that look effortless. It's very handy too, not too big in size, so you could always carry it in your bag and touch up when you need to! It's a great product to have in the summer time, especially when you want beach hair without actually going to the beach. Don't hesitate using it in the winter though! We have our lazy days in winter too don't we?

Rating: 4/5
Retail price: Currently on offer at Boots, any 2 Lee Stafford products for £8, normally £5.99

My Wishlist

No girl can have enough of anything. Here are a few (okay, maybe a little more than that) things that I want right now!

Louis Vuitton - Speedy 35

I think the best thing about LV bags are that they go with pretty much any outfit you throw together; I mean that in every sense. Casual, formal, you name it. I'd have to give up eating if I decide to get this bag. (Yes, another broke university student) Anyhoo, it adds a lovely touch to any look.

GHD IV salon styler

Yes, I am that broke. To be honest, I don't really straighten my hair all that much, but that's only because I've never owned a GHD hair styler. I am currently using a Toni and Guy hair straightener, and the results are definitely not the same as those of a GHD. I think if I had one I would straighten my hair more often...

Christian Louboutin - OTK Suede Button Up Boots in Black

Christian Louboutin - OTK Suede Button Up Boots in Black

Aren't these to die for?! I think they just might be the sexiest boots I have ever seen. And you've probably already noticed that I have a little thing for boots. Guilty. To be honest though, I don't own a lot of them. Anyway look at how gorgeous they are! They're not exactly the newest thing in fashion, but I think they won't ever go out of fashion. They would look especially amazing with skin tight skinnies and a comfy jumper?

Marc Jacobs - Lola

Okay this may sound a bit silly, but I don't even know what this perfume smells like. The bottle is so pretty though! I wouldn't even want to use it, just leave it on my table and let it look pretty haha.

NARS - Albatross
NARS bronzer - Laguna

NARS blush - Dolce Vita

Gorgeous colours. 'Nuff said. All hail Francois Nars!

So these are a few of the things I'm really after at the moment. I think we all know what my savings account is going to look like soon.
